Accessibility

Last updated: May 9, 2026

The Color Tools is built for designers — and that includes designers and clients with disabilities. We commit to WCAG 2.2 AA across our public surfaces. When we fall short, we want to know.

Our standard

The Color Tools targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the marketing site, all standalone tools, the dashboard, and the account section. We track APCA contrast as a leading indicator and ship features alongside the WCAG 3 transition.

Built-in accessibility tools

The Color Tools itself ships a WCAG + APCA contrast checker and a color blindness simulator — both free, no signup. Brand teams use them to validate palettes before production.

Known gaps

Our community gallery (Phase 3) and admin console are not yet keyboard-navigation-complete. Both will be audited and remediated before public launch.

Reporting an issue

If something on The Color Tools doesn't work for you, please email accessibility@thecolortools.com. We aim to respond within two business days.

Third-party content

Some embedded resources (videos, third-party widgets) may not meet WCAG AA. Where possible, we caption and provide accessible alternatives.
