Color Science Lead

Own the core color engine. OKLCH conversions, Delta E, Pantone matching, ICC profile handling, the whole stack. You'll set the technical direction for what 'production-grade color' means at The Color Tools.
What you'll do
- Maintain and extend the color engine library
- Drive Pantone, RAL, NCS, and paint-brand licensing conversations alongside the founders
- Lead the migration from approximations to licensed datasets
- Write the published color-science blog posts
What you bring
- Deep knowledge of color science (CIELAB, OKLCH, ΔE 2000, ICC profiles)
- Either come from a print background or have built color tooling before
- Comfortable shipping production code, not just papers
Bonus
- Published or presented on color reproduction
- Pantone Connect API or licensed-data experience
- Background in printing, photography, or industrial design
