Pantone licensing — what's covered and what isn't

The Color Tools' Pantone matches in v1 are visual approximations calibrated by ΔE 2000 — useful for design exploration but not licensed for official Pantone reproduction.

For production work that requires the official Pantone spec:

• Cross-reference our match against a physical swatch book
• Use the Pantone Connect API directly (we link out where relevant)
• Watch /changelog — official licensing is on the roadmap for late 2026
