A random color generator produces a color at the press of a button with its HEX, RGB, HSL and name, for placeholders, inspiration, testing and games. This one can constrain the result by hue, lightness or saturation and keeps a history of every color generated.
Fully random RGB gives a lot of mud. The generator samples in OKLCH so results are evenly spread across visible hues and stay pleasant, and you can restrict it: only pastels, only dark colors, only within a hue range, or only colors that pass AA contrast on white. Each result shows its nearest named color and a link to its full record. Generate one at a time or a batch of up to 20, and copy the history as a list.
Press Generate. The HEX is shown large with a copy button, and the spacebar generates again.
