Choose a color harmony with an interactive color wheel

Start with a base color, then compare relationships such as complementary, split-complementary, analogous, triadic, tetradic, square, and monochromatic. The wheel gives you a structured way to explore hues around a starting point; it does not decide which colors should lead, recede, or carry meaning in your design. Use the live palette and preview to judge the result in context, then adjust the wheel arms until the combination fits the project.

Turn a harmony into a usable palette

Harmony rules are useful starting points for illustrations, brand explorations, and interface accents, but they do not ensure accessible text or balanced hierarchy. Assign roles to the colors—such as background, primary action, and highlight—and test foreground/background pairs with the color contrast checker before using the palette in production.
