A color picker is a tool for choosing a color and reading its values. This online color picker gives a spectrum, a wheel and an eyedropper, with HEX, RGB, HSL, HSB, CMYK and OKLCH shown together and copyable in one click.
Drag on the spectrum to set hue and saturation, use the slider for lightness, or type a value in any format and the rest update. The eyedropper reads a color from anywhere on your screen in browsers that support the EyeDropper API (Chrome, Edge, Opera). Upload an image to pick from it, or switch to the wheel to pick by harmony.
Every picked color shows its nearest named color, a shade scale, contrast against black and white, and links to the same color's conversions and Pantone and RAL references.
HEX is six hexadecimal digits for red, green and blue (#1B4DE4). RGB gives the same three channels as numbers from 0 to 255. HSL describes hue in degrees, saturation and lightness in percent, which is easier to adjust by hand. HSB (also called HSV) swaps lightness for brightness and is what most design apps use in their pickers. CMYK is the print model and is shown here as an uncalibrated approximation.
Click the eyedropper icon and then click anywhere on screen. This uses the browser's EyeDropper API and works in Chrome, Edge and Opera; in other browsers, take a screenshot and upload it.
Pick the color and its HEX appears at the top with a copy button. HEX is the six-digit code used in CSS and most design tools.
Google shows a basic picker in search results. This picker adds HSL, CMYK and OKLCH values, image picking, harmonies, contrast checks and Pantone references.
